Exchange Programs

The College of Charleston has exchange agreements with academic institutions around the world. These exchanges allow College of Charleston students to study for a semester or an academic year at a partner institution while still paying their College tuition.  With a few exceptions, exchange students pay room and board to the host institution.  Normally, all financial aid applies.  Classes taken abroad must be pre-approved before departure to ensure that students will receive transfer credit upon successful completion of the program.  Course availability varies from institution to institution.  The minimum GPA requirement for participants is a 2.5. In some cases, a 3.0 GPA is required.  Interested students should contact Melissa Ochal in the CIE for further information.

Note: Students cannot earn more than 30 credit hours for study at any of our partner institutions abroad.

If you do not already have one, please remember to apply for your passport as soon as possible.
