Center for International Education Speaker Request

At the Center for International Education (CIE), we are committed to engaging the campus community about international education.  If your group would like a speaker from the CIE to present at an event or class about the benefits of study abroad or engaging with international students, please complete the presentation request form and a member of our office will contact you within 3-5 business days.  Please note that due to staff commitments and scheduling during peak times, your request might not be honored or an alternate, such as peer mentor, might be called upon to fulfill your request.  Please provide two week notice prior to the event taking place.  Examples of speaking requests include:

  • First-Year Experience classes, language classes, or any other classes that have a significant international component
  • Student organizations or clubs who wish to know more about study abroad
  • Departments on campus who would like to know more about developing international programs
  • Campus groups that would like to know more about international students on campus and how to outreach to them
  • Targeted presentations about the benefits of study abroad for certain student demographic groups (first-generation college students, specific majors, students with disabilities, student athletes, etc.)
