Study Abroad

We are excited you are considering study abroad a part of your collegiate experience. We know the process can be overwhelming, but the staff in the Center for International Education is here to support you from selecting a program to adjusting back to life at the College. So let us help you start your journey now!

January 6, 2022: Due to the ongoing situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, College of Charleston has made the difficult decision to cancel Spring Break 2022 programs. In addition to the overall health and wellbeing of our students being utmost priority, the Omicron variant and subsequent surge of COVID-19 cases around the world has presented additional challenges that have made this decision necessary, such as: evolving entry and travel restrictions, lockdowns, quarantine/ isolation protocols, and testing requirements, among others. Due to the short nature of spring break programs, the aforementioned factors do not give us a significant level of confidence that spring break programs can take place during 2022 without significant disruption to students’ programs. We thank you for understanding this difficult decision, and CIE is here to work with students who would like to plan for a future study abroad program. Related questions should be directed to the Center for International Education:
