Semester Programs

The College of Charleston offers several semester programs each academic year. Students who participate in these programs will pay their normal College of Charleston tuition plus a program fee that covers costs such as round-trip airfare, room and board, comprehensive medical insurance, co-curricular activities, etc.  Students are also responsible for passport fees, student visa fees, and personal spending money for the semester. Spring Break Programs

Students who participate in a spring break program will enroll in the associated course as part of their Spring course-load. If enrolled full-time (between 12-18 credits), their tuition rate will not be affected.  Students will then be assessed a program fee that covers costs such as round-trip airfare, room and board, comprehensive medical insurance, co-curricular activities, etc.  Students are also responsible for passport fees, student visa fees, and personal spending money for the program. Summer Programs

Each summer a variety of study abroad programs are offered by College of Charleston faculty.  Students pay CofC tuition and a program fee that typically covers international round-trip airfare, room & board, some meals, local transportation, comprehensive medical insurance, and co-curricular activities. Students are responsible for passport fees, student visa fees (if applicable), and personal spending money. Click the banner above to see program options.

Financial Agreement

  • Financial Agreement for Students on CofC Study Abroad Programs - students participating in College of Charleston programs will be emailed this form when they are conditionally approved for their program. It must be signed and returned to CIE within the specified deadline in order for the student to participate. 

Individual Enrollment Form - CofC Course Abroad

  • Students who have arranged individual study plans abroad with an academic department for College of Charleston credit should contact the CIE at studyabroad@cofc.edu for further instructions.  This includes opportunities such as internships, independent studies, and field studies.
